Movies are magic. Period. In cinemas and on our TVs, we get to escape our own lives and dive into fascinating worlds filled with aliens, space ships and new technologies. But did you ever wonder how those masterpieces were made? As an outsider, it's hard to grasp the sheer dimension of what happens behind the scenes of Hollywood and how long it takes from a concept to the finished movie.

With the "Science Fiction Vault – The Making of" Books, you can pierce the veil and learn how The Terminator movies and Battlestar Galactica were made. In addition to background info and behind-the-scenes photos, each book contains envelopes with reproductions of original concept art, movie posters or other production material. The contents of both books are safely secured within robust hard covers, so even extremely avid readers won't be able to damage them.

The variants contain the following:

  • Terminator Vault shows how both The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day were made. After a foreword by The Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the book contains concept art by James Cameron, storyboards, rare photos and even diagrams for the T-1000. In addition, 10 reproduced memorabilia-like movie posters are stored in vellum envelopes throughout the book. The book comes in a cardboard slipcase.

  • Battlestar Galactica Vault[/i] reveals how the entire series was made between 1978 and 2012. The tri-fold hardcover hides a book filled with concept art, photos and texts, forming the ultimate encyclopaedia for fans of the series. In two pockets, ten replicas of original props, production material and promotional material are stored, including the original movie poster. Just don't let the Cylons get to them first ;).
